I'm on a zombie kick right now, guys. As I mentioned on the book board (looking for some good zombie books), I'm currently reading World War Z (Max Brook's second book after the Survival Guide), and I'm absolutely loving it. I also started playing RE3 and Code Veronica again because I haven't played those games in ages. Anyways, I'm itching for some more zombie flicks. I'm not going to bother listing what I've seen because I'll probably forget some, anyway. All you need to know is that I've seen the basics (Living Dead series, Zombie, blah blah blah).

I recommend this series to everybody who is on a zombie kick--the Blind Dead series. The makeup is awsome--these folks are seriously decayed, their horses too. Four movies are in the series, 2 are pretty good, one is decent, and the one on the ship is ridiculous, but cheesy fun.

I've been on a zombie kick for a year or two now as well, but I'm sadly running out of decent flicks to add to my collection. If you've already seen Romero's 4 Dead series movies and the first 3 Return of the Living Deads, here's a few I think are worth checking out:
- Cemetery Man/Dellamorte Dellamore - A depressed cemetery attendant trying to hide the fact that the dead buried in his cemetery rise from their grave a week after their burial, falls in love with a recent widow. Then things get weird. This is a must see. Great dialogue and an interesting mix of European Zombie-ish atmosphere and Return of the Living Dead wackiness.
- Resident Evil 1-2 - If you haven't seen them, which you probably already have. Resident Evil 1 is good. 2 gets a lot of hate, but I enjoy it in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
- Shaun of the Dead - Hopefully you've already seen this, but if not - do so.
- Zombi 3 - A group of terrorists attempt to steal a nerve toxin from a military base and end up causing a zombie outbreak with it. Not as good as Zombi 2, but it gets a pass for being so bad, it's good.
- Flesheater - Vacationing college students accidentally unearth a buried zombie while on a trip in the woods. Things quickly spiral out of control and the outbreak moves into a small town during Halloween night. Written and directed by the guy who played the first zombie in the original Night of the Living Dead. Good low budget flick with some nice gore effects.
- Burial Ground/The Nights of Terror - Another Italian zombie flick. Not much of a plot, so I'm not going to get into it. But they make up for it with lots of zombies. It also has possibly the most creepy kid in the history of cinema. That Japanese kid from The Grudge has nightmares about this guy.
- Let Sleeping Corpses Lie - A cop suspects two travelers of a murder that was actually committed by zombies tries to solve the crime while the suspects try to clear their name and figure out the source of the zombies. Probably the best European zombie movie after Zombi 2 and Cemetery Man.
And if you're into wacky Asian zombie flicks:
- Versus - This one has it all. Zombies, Yakuza, escaped convicts, crazy cops, swords, guns and an extremely ornery feminist.
- Wild Zero - I don't even know where to begin explaining this orgy of insanity and nonsense. A real life (from what I understand) Japanese rock band named Guitar Wolf (made of up guys named Guitar Wolf, Bass Wolf and Drum Wolf) with the help of super fan Ace, battle a wave of zombies created by aliens. Not only does the movie feature such excellent life lessons as "Love has no borders, nationalities, or genders!" and "Trash and Chaos!" but it also features quote possibly the ugliest cast ever put on film. Check it out if you're in the mood for something totally bizarre.
- Bio-Cops - It's been a while since I've seen this one, so I'll skip the plot outline. It's a silly, comedic Hong Kong zombie flick featuring two of the leads from Gen-X Cops. I recall it being fun. I don't believe it's had a North American release though, so it may be hard to track down.
- Biozombie - Another silly HK zombie flick. I haven't seen this personally, but I've heard good things about it.
The only movies I've seen that have been previously recommended in this thread are Undead and Dead & Breakfast. I thought both were pretty bad, though. I could hardly even get to the end of Undead.

All the afforementioned plus the following.
Hell of the Living Dead
Dead Alive
28 Days Later
Night of the Living Dead (The one with Pat Tallman)
and
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Also, two Zombie movies as in Voodoo Zombies
White Zombie and
I Walked with a Zombie
The last two are not what most people think of when they are talking about a Zombie movie, but I submit for your consideration that they do count and are a part of the class.
Also what about Pet Cemetary, Tasha Yar as undead. Nice!

Cute as a button.
While I don't really need to explain myself, I was asking redwhisper13, someone I like from JoBlo, why she had stopped posting for so long.
Right? Right. Everyone clear now? Awesome.

Clear with me, X. :D I know, I know. Seems like I dropped off the face of the Earth, right? *Sigh* The last year has been crazy - I'm graduating from college in May, my two best friends are getting married which means I'm smack in the middle of planning the whole thing, I got an office job that is slowly eating my soul (and has freakin' unbelievable blocks on the Net)...blah blah blah. I'm back on the boards now, though. And I have to say (please don't get a big head) but I did miss you too X, as well as Tagia and spacemonkey. I'll have to let them know I'm back.
And just so that I'm not accused of getting completely off topic, check out Dead Alive...directed by Pete Jackson waay before Frodo and Sam had their gay hiking trip up Mount Doom. It has one of my fav lines ever, "I kick ass for the Lord!" when a priest opens a can of Bruce Lee whoop ass on some zombie punks. Heck ya!

You can't forget the constructive use of a lawnmower either. If you dig priest-fu you may enjoy Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter.

It is a super low budget super-8 piece of sub B-grade cheese from Odessa Filmworks (clickhere (http://www.odessafilmworks.com/jcvh/index.html) to see a trailer). I would rank it a hair above The Dead Next Door as far as quality goes.
Anyways, to get back on subject I got to suggest checking out The Serpent and the Rainbow (1985). It’s a great flick based on ethnobiologist Wade Davis’s non-fictional work of the same name. Not your usual Zombie madness, but a relevant work worth a view. Love that Voodoo!

Good for you on all that (office jobs suck, I know, but maybe you can make it fun like in "The Office". Is your boss like Steve Carrel?) and good luck with the weddings (sounds like a pluckload of work).
By the way, check out the new "MyJoBlo" thing if you haven't.
