Golden Schmoes - why nothing for the ladies?

Movie fans on this site like to complain about Hollywood alienating audiences these days by doing things like giving horror movies PG-13 ratings or re-making unique films and injecting them full of mainstream pop culture. So why does this site always alienate their female fans? Huh? What's up with that?

There's no male hotties section on your site – that’s fine. You guys report the most insignificant movie tidbits concerning hot ladies but only report on the fellas if it’s big news or an ultra-popular male celeb – I can deal with that too. But no male hottie section in the Golden Schmoes . . . well that’s just going too far mister!

I suggested a Best Male Hotness category!

This topic has been broughten up every year since the Golden Schmoes started. Is there a reason this hasn't happened?

I'm not gay or anything, I just think everyone should get a fair shake.

I hear ya, sister. I think last year it was brought up that Best T&A was for guys, too. But since women are in the minority around here, it's not completely fair. Best Male Hotness would be a great addition, I think.

And where is the FEMALE HOTNESS category? I'm confused as we don't have any such thing.

The only category we have that is related to sex is the BEST T&A, but even that one is for BOTH SEXES, as per the thread explanation: "Your nomination doesn't necessarily have to include nudity in the movie, as long as it was damn sexy and turned you on (from either sex). Please specify the actor/actress and the movie, for example:: Rosario Dawson - Clerks 2 or Sasha Baron Cohen - Borat"

So I'm not sure I understand your complaints about this. We can't magically make more women (or men) VOTE for sexy men, can we? :)

Ok honestly. Honestly if you saw a category called BEST T&A as in Best Tits and Ass, would you even check for the possibility that this could include males? I doubt it and I doubt most people on this board knew that it was a unisex category. So no you can't make more people nominate or vote for guys but it's probably because most of 'em don't even know they can. So :p

I gotta agree with her there, I don't think I've ever heard the term T&A aimed towards males in my life. And it can be said to be for both sexes, I doubt very much women have ever said "Wow, Heath Ledger's got some great T&A"

back in the good ol' days when mostly JoBlo himself posted the articles, I'd say half of the articles were towards the females. Quite often would JoBlo mention how 'sexy' a scene was with some guy.
I think it has faded away. I'm glad to see more females on the site. Especially with the addition of Jenny from Cannes.
But you can't forget, in order to create a successful business... you have to go after the target audience. And most movie buffs are males. So I think that's why things are written more towards the males.

I agree. There seems to be alot more ladies posting around here lately, prehaps down to the sucess of MyJoBlo. That can't be a bad thing.

Think somethings should be more geared towards the women. Can't think what myself prehaps some of you can think of somethings and put them forward as ideas.

Didn't a few of you try having like a Male celeb hottie section not long back in Celeb section? Don't know prehaps I imagined that.


In saying that if Jo puts more stuff on here geared towards women. That means they will spend more time on here and then who the hell is going to cook and wash for their man???? Huh?????

I fully understand the demographic targeted for this site and I respect it completely, but come on, this is meant to be a site for everybody, and as such, everybody should feel welcome here, not just ONE demographic.

Besides, knowing what women can be like when scorned you don't want to make us upset, do you? :D :p
