The clips to the Hitcher look really amazing. I had my doubts but the clips are freaking scary. I nearly jumped out of my seat like 3 times watching them . This remake may be more scary then the original. The clips from the film really do it for me.

Have to agree, love seeing Sean Bean being Sean Bean, I'm there opening weekend. Plus, this Sophia Bush is eay on the eyes...me thinks I'll be watching a little One Tree Hill (or at least checking the web for some photos)...

Man I can't bring myself to watch this. The original is one of my favorite movies of all time. I know bitching about remakes is beating a dead horse but it's gotten so out of hand it's pretty much the major staple of the genre now. That's a very sad state for horror to be in.

I will not be watching this one....ever. Sean Bean is cool but he is no Ruger Hauer. Ruger never needs to act like a Psycho it comes naturally.
There is no need for the girlfriend to be in the car also. I do not even care if she is easy on the eyes. I appreciated the one on one aspect in the original between good guy/bad guy. I like the solitary quiet that the original had. Very creepy.
The original had very little police involvement and the times in which it did it was not busy and over the top hectic.
Also the gal in the original was not a girlfriend and she acted well. There was something about her that did not remind you of a bitchy, whiny interfering type gal.
This new girl, the girlfriend gives me that impression, that she is just going to be opinionated and in the way. Too noisy for me.
I do so love the score and the rain and the open aired qualities of the original and I do not want that impression changed or ruined for myself.
Originals need to be preserved and not tainted and they are being tainted for the all mighty dollar as of late. It is sickening and not my personal cup of tea.

Got a chance to see it last night. Not sure why everyone else is freaking out...thought it was a lot of fun. The gore is through the roof...lots of blood splattering goodness. Sophia Bush runs around in her underwear half the time so kudos for that. I think its gonna be a sleeper in how horror fans feel about it...some really gory stuff.
