The Beginning is the coolest horror movie i've seen in awhile. It's hard for me to imagine fans not loving this movie. To me it's a really fun horror film with lots of gore and R Lee Ermey. What else could anyone want. The Beginning has some nice features on the dvd as well. I do think this movie is better than the remake but if people stop comparing the remake to the original it's not a bad movie at all.

I didn't get a chance to see it in the theaters but when it came out on DVD in an unrated version I had to buy it. Definately was glad I did. Thought it was really well done.

I watched only about half of it and was less than impressed by it. It felt too much like a copy of the remake, which wasn't bad in, of and by itself, and there were too many shock moments. Did many people really care enough about the Hewitt family to warrant a prequel examining them even further than the remake went, which was way far enough to begin with?

It takes all sorts for this movie believe me. My favourite movies of all time include PHANTASM, HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13th, THE THING, THE FOG etc. I LOVE the old school classics! But for some reason I completely dug this movie! I had an absolute blast watching it at the cinema! Best time in fucking ages! :cool:

TCM beginning was one of my favorite recent horror movies.. loved everything about it.. its not often if ever that i dont want the suckers to die in a horror film..
