I know it's a cheap suck out, but whatever.
Anyways, I was wondering where everyone gets there tabs. If there was a certain site or something that you can download to make it easier. I have just started out and don't have any experience, so any help would be awesome.

Same. Thats actually how I learned how to understand notes and such. I love that site!
PS: Does anyone know where I can find a good tab for the intro chords for "O Valencia!" by The Decemberists? I have a fantastic tab for the rest of the song, it's just the intro chord progression.
But seriously, ultimate-guitar.com is the best site for guitar tabs, bar none.

This site has met all my chord needs, but I haven't fooled with the tabs sections too much:

You should focus on at least basic music theory before getting too deep into tabs. Whatever my advice is worth....

I'll agree with Bubba, take your time. I learned to play from tabs but be patient and don't get frustrated if you can't play a more complicated song right off the bat.

Actually what I was saying is it helps - alot actually- to at least know some basic music stuff, like reading music somewhat - what the different notes are and where they are on the strings.
Knowing that before you learn tabs makes it a lot easier, but trying to learn it after being used to tabs - from what I understand it's much, much more difficult.
DeadGuy's advice is solid too.

In addition to learning songs get used to your guitar. How to get different sounds from the different pick ups and getting your guitar to make other kinds of sounds. Like knocking on the back of the neck or sliding something across the string to make unusual noises. Experimenting with your guitar is what gets people to come up with creative stuff.

Yeah, then add in delays, echos, flanges and chorus. You can make shit for weeks.

Sweet, the site I used to go to for guitar tabs was shut down for copyright violation or something like that. I can read music (for the most part), but tabs are kinda like the sparknotes of music. Sometimes, it's just easier
