Arriving just in time for the opening of the 2007 baseball season, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release The Natural: Director's Cut on April 3rd. The fan-favorite flick, starring Robert Redford, arrives in a two-disc set featuring a new edit of the 1984 film with a new anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks. Bonus materials will include a video introduction by Barry Levinson, along with ten new featurettes including "When Lightning Strikes: Creating 'The Natural,'" "For Love of the Movie...and the Game," "A Natural Gunned Down: The Stalking of Eddie Waitkus," "Knights in Shining Armor: The Mythology of 'The Natural,'" and "The Heart of 'The Natural.'"
