Release date: April 24

Despite what looks like a barebones edition, I'm so happy they're keeping the amazing poster as the main image...

I'm surprised it's coming out so late though...oh well, it'll be worth the wait :D

What the flying fuck. Little Children was one of my favourite movies from last year and I was really looking forward to getting it on DVD. But without any extra features AT ALL, not even the bloody trailer which is a work of art on its own, I seriously doubt I'll be getting this release. And at that price! What were they smoking?! Is it that hard to throw some sort of 10-minute featurette together for this? For pete's sake, this is outrageously pathetic. If they don't follow this up with some sort of Special Edition/New Line Platinum Series release, I'll MURDER them.

Then again, I agree that the cover art is very nice, the poster was one of my favourites of last year.

This is a film I would gladly double dip on, so it's not surprise I'll be getting it.

I'm not surprised -- Todd Field seems more like a director who would let his film speak for itself, as in the case of his In the Bedroom, of which the DVD has really no supplemental features at all.

Even if that was the case, I doubt the studio would allot money for features, considering it's weak take in so far.

True...I never realized how much In the Bedroom made (about 35 million) at the box office, in comparison to the extremely weak run of LC (about 4 million so far).

Which doesn't come as much of a surprise, seeing as the film never screened in more than 100 theatres across the US.

Wow...35 million?
Now that I did not know.

But yeah, like Monotreme said, the small take is really understandable.
I don't like New Line anymore. :p

Me neither, as much as I want to - they were behind Boogie Nights, Magnolia, the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But this year, not only was there this story with Peter Jackson and the Hobbit movie but also their total rape of Little Children... just pisses me off. I hate them as well, but still not quite as much as I hate Fox.

Eh, I only hate them for Little Children.

Peter Jackson I could care less about...sorry. :p :D

It's the #1 movie that's never been in the top 10.

This was one of the best films of 2006 and will be a definite purchase for me. It is a shame there are no features on this release, as others have said prior that trailer was amazing and should at least be included.

This was THE best film of 2006, what a crying shame it is that its not getting the very wide release that it deserves.

I'll be buying whatever dvd they put out there, and then I'll also pick up whatever SE they put out there months on down the road.

Glad to see another member join our humble Little Children fan club :) I'm generally not very pleased about double dipping, even if it's a movie I adore. I'll wait for the New Line Platinum Series release of this further down the line.

Not a joke...those assholes!

And you know what else? They postponed this 'till May.
They suck so much that I don't think I will BUY the dvd (though I'll find a way to acquire it :D).

That cover is horrible. It looks like a cover for a feel good romantic comedy.
