I think that when Jigsaw said that he was grooming Amanda to take over his life's work but she failed. And he then said that she left Detective Matthew's for "dead" but he cleaned up her mess....left me to believe Matthew's is or could be alive. And in the flashback's ...........Matthews was yelling "You're not Jigsaw Bitch, you're nothing!" HMMM???
What do you guys think?
DETECTIVE MATTHEWS NEXT JIGSAW.

Detective Matthews or Jeff, what about Dr. Gordon. Shit, there are so many theories to come up with. I just pray that if they go through with making it, that it is half decent. I love the first three to death and I would hate to see the series go down the drain with a shitty 4th.

Oh. Thought he was dead. Even still I'll bet it is going to be Det. Mattews. I just got a feeling. Maybe I can hit some Donnie Wahlberg sites and see if he's been approached about a possible Saw 4 role. I think I read here somewhere that Tobin has signed up already.
I saw an advertisment for a flick called Feast. It has a "From Dusk Till Dawn" feel about it but you never know.

Cary Elwes and the Saw makers hate it each other. I doubt he'll be in the movie.

Detective Mathew's, the next Jigsaw? Interresting theory, but why would he want to be the next Jigsaw? I guerss that we will have to wait and see, are they actually making another Saw? truthfully, Saw is one of those really well done modern horror franchises compared to alot of the other junk and lame remakes coming out these days.

LOVE,love,LOVE kevin Smith. I can't get enough of Clerks 2.
Anyway, I think that the story of Saw is original in the sense that One (in theory) would have the chance to survive. Loved all Saw films so far. We'll have to see.

Yeah, most of the horro movies these days are a total drag. I do enjoy Saw quite a bit. If they do a sequel, I hope that they do not screw it up as the series has been quite nice so far. I enjoy the heavy and dark over tones that the story has.

Why would they not make another Saw? They're cheap, can be made quickly and make easy money.

ITA!!!!!
They better make another. But seriously...they are going to make a 4. I'll try to find the link for the site that I read it on. I guess there will be a different writer and producer if I remember right. Which strengthens my Det. Matthews theory. If I understood the previous reply correctly, someone said that Wahlberg did not get along with the Saw makers. If they sign off then they won't be dealing with Wahlberg. Get it? He He

Hmm, this could work out well in the end. I hope that a new movie will be good. At elast Lions Gate seems to be on a roll finally. Nice to see a Horror Carrier that has balls these days!

No that was the writers (Leigh Whannel and James Wan) and Cary Elwes who don't like each other. Not Donnie. Donnie loves them.

They don't like each other? I haven't heard that. Wasn't Cary even on a commentary track with the other guys?

It's a long shot, but there's always Daniel Matthews...

After watching Saw 3 I can honsetly say I have NO IDEA what they are thinking for Saw 4. This series has cleverly thrown me off with each installment. Whatever they come up with I'll be there to see it though. I do think its safe to say that Cary Elwes character will not be revived. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I think what they're thinking of doing is setting up the 'main' trap within the first ten minutes. Then there will be lots of kills and stupid decisions being made by the characters as they are systematically destroyed...
... until the FINAL ten minutes when the twist sums up all the time wasted waiting for that conclusion.

I would have to think that Angus MacFadyens character will return and be forced to carry on another gameset in order to find where his daughter is...
and regardless,i'm into it totally, because this series can't seem to fail me.

Yeah thats what I have been thinking. He might become the new Jigsaw or something. If that is the case though I don't know how I feel because a Saw movie without Tobin wouldn't feel right. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Well, I don't think (and definetly HOPE) he'll become the new jigsaw for good, just in this particular sequel I think he'll have to play the role in order to secure his daughters life...and who knows, since they rumored to want a few more sequels even after 4 (i heard up to 6,but could be pure bullshit), maybe each future sequel will be without Tobin and all featuring links as in everyday people with a few skeletons in the closet needing to be a jigsaw persay?

I really liked all 3 of them. Maybe they'll do a Saw 4 - The Beginning! (Yes, I'm being sarcastic)
