How the fuck do you go from associating with Robert Fripp, David Bowie, John Cale and Talking Heads to associating with boring shit like U2 and Coldplay?

The best U2 albums were the ones that were produced by Eno. This is actually awesome news. I don't really care for Coldplay, but I did enjoy their last album. I can't wait to hear the final results.

Point 1 - U2 is awesome. Or at the very least has been awesome at points in the past (come on now - The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, Zooropa? you can't mess with that shit).
Point 2 - This is cool news. Brian Eno has been known to bring out the best in artists, and considering the first two Coldplay albums are actually pretty good, I could see this turning into something really good.

That is so true about U2 especially Achtung Baby which is not only my favorite U2 album but one of my favorite albums period.
Speaking of Coldplay, am I the only one who thought X & Y was better than RoBttH? The 2nd half of the latter album was underwhelming to me.

Initially I preferred X&Y more as well, but X&Y really doesn't seem to have the replay value of Rush Of Blood does. Paracahutes is actually still my fave Coldplay album though.

I don't care much for Coldplay, but Eno is just as good at producing as he is at making music.

I as well, although I would be regardless. I seem to be the resident Coldplay fan around these parts.
