Search didn't come up with anything although I'm sure there was another thread on it. Anyways...

Get It On and No Pussy Blues are GREAT and live up to their name so I hope the rest of the album ends up like this.

The album actually leaked weeks ago and i've given it a few spins. Not quite as good as his Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus double bill of brilliance but quite excellent nonetheless.

Psychocandy I think the version you're talking about is the m4a rip that was (from the sounds of it) not fully mastered yet. The final and fully produced/mastered version leaked out about a day ago and it's wildly different. For one, it sounds infinitely better. Plus they kicked off 5 tracks (Chain of Flowers, Decoration Day, Trip, Vortex and Rise). I love the new version of it, they cut out a lot of fat and stuck to the mean dirty noise they had from the first two tracks.

Fuck...they improved it then? That's great news. Mayble it will be on a par with Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus because the potential was definitely there. I kinda liked some of the songs they have dropped though. I imagine they will either pop up again on a future Bad Seeds album or as B-Sides. Anyway...i'm off to find the new release.

Shite...i'm only getting the version i've already got on DC++. Ah well...patience shall bring rewards. Sticking with Nick are you planning to get the two disc live DVD he's just released? It's getting sterling reviews and it's available in a limited edition with two cds full of more live tracks. The latter is the one i'll be getting. Now actually...where's my credit card?

So far the only album of his I heard is "Murder Ballads" but it's pretty cool so I guess I should listen to more Nick Cave. A friend of mine is really into The Birthday Party so I guess I'll borrow some of his stuff for starts. Since you guys seem like true fans of the guy, any recommodations for me of which albums to give a spin? Thanks in advance!

Well there's two ways you can go. You can dip your toes into the murky water of Nick Cave's first fifteen years or so by picking up the Best Of that came out about ten years ago. Alternatively you could buy the Live Seeds album. The latter was my introduction to Nick Cave and it's one of the best live albums i've ever heard.
Alternatively you can just jump in at the deep end. The following albums are essential Seeds. In no particular order of merit...
Let Love In
The Good Son
Henry's Dream
Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus
The Boatman's Call
No More Shall We Part
Nocturama
Tender Prey
He has another half dozen or so albums and all are good. But the ones listed above are a peg above the rest.

Oh...and Someguy. Thanks again. The Grinderman album is probably a step up from what I initially thought.

I like the video, I like his guitar style, its nice to see him out from behing his piano with a handle bar, i saw him once he had a kylie handbag, my friend on foundation saw him reding porn in bridport, which is in dorset, a rare bread of crab mates there after sepending months walking from some far of island called crab island or sommin, so yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, its very preachy
