Don't flame me, Carnage fans. Please?

I like Carnage, but I will admit that Maximum Carnage was a poorly written cross-over event.

Exactly. The game kicked ass though.
The reason I like Carnage so much is for the deconstruction of the villian archetype. Most of Spidey's rogues, or any other gallery for that matter, are comprised of villains who turned evil through some tragic mishappence. They're not naturally like that, they're more a product of ill fate.
But not Cletus Kasady.
Cletus Kasady is exactly what a true villain should be: a sociopath. Unlike Eddie Brock, before he merged with his symbiote he was a clear cut psycopath, a serial killer, and the addition of the alien bioweaponry only aided him in what he had already established; A deep, unsympathetic psychosis, in which he is the ultimate law, and carnage is a joy.

I guess that's why i don't like him them. As I like most of my villains to have some sort of link to my sympathy.

No offense, but why would you even touch a "Maximum Carnage" TPB? And why was it even collected in the first place?
(And why haven't all the existing back issues been burned? ;) )
Probably second only to the clone blunder as some of Spidey's worst storylines.

Maximum Carnage is a great graphic novel and over all good comic book. It is a classic. But yes there are a few problems. Even though Venom and Carnage kick ass, there is a few problems in the novel. The biggest problem is the drawings, because the novel was all hand written and drawn its over all not that good and the fight scenes are a little stupid. So yes there are a few problems with the book. Over all it is one of the best.
