so I rented the Marine tonight, fully expecting a completely garbage piece of crap movie. So you might ask why, what I rants and watch a movie I expect not to like. It simply has to do with the fact that I love cheesy crappy action and horror movies. I really don't like John Cena at all. He's too much of a rapper wanna be. But what I found in this movie is pretty much what I expected but a little more. I thought the action was great. Well maybe not great, but good. There's a car chase scene with the Camaro in the Lincoln navigator, that was done pretty damn good. The explosions were awesome, and surprisingly John cena proved himself to me to be a pretty good action star. More importantly though, Robert Patrick can play a bad guy so well. In the Marine he was so sadistic and evil, and I really think he is so underrated as an actor.

While it's not the best movie and it doesn't even come close to Crank I did enjoy the Marine and recommend it to people who can take their action and check your brain at the door.

Because I had fun. I give between a 7.5 to eight out of 10. I really don't know exactly what to give it yet. Don't expect anything new in this movie. Just take it with a grain of salt

i watched it last night.. i wouldnt go as far as to recommend it

but it def wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be.

The action was on par with what i expected, which was alot of shit blowing up! which im always for!

John Cena didnt seem to be that bad of an actor... and you are right on with Robert Patrick he does play an awesome bad guy!

I even laughed when one of his minions said (As John Cena was chasing them in a car and he wouldnt die) "This guy is like the terminator" and you saw Patricks eyes go up into the rear view mirror!

I've recommended it to a few people I talk to. I thought it was an above average movie. Taking into consideration that this was John Cena's big screen debut I thought he did a great job. I guess all the acting for the WWE does pay off. I'm not a big fan of WWE but I have liked their movies. I guess it all comes down to what your taste in movies is. I mean don't get me wrong there were a few parts that I thought could have been left out. But other than that I liked the movie. Just my two cents I guess.
