No one knows yet.
The Future Shop steelbook case is a 1-discer.
Best Buy has no 2-discer listed, so there Ltd Steelbook might be the 2-disc (and I'm soooo hoping for that), but then again I could be very wrong.
If the best buy thing isn't 2-discs, I'm getting the regular 2-discer.
I wasn't gonna, but since it has Scorsese on Scorsese I definitely will.

i am almost positive the 2 disc set at Best Buy with the steelbook is THE 2 Disc Set, not a 1 disc with a stupid best buy bonus disc.
I will probably get that one, cuz i love Steel Book cases.

The Departed was my favorite movie of 2006 but I don't think I am going to by either the 1 or 2 disc. I have a feeling that a better edition is going to come out within a year or so and I am going to wait to see if that happens. If it does not I will eventually pick up the 2 disc. But if it cleans up at the Acadamey Awards another edition will be a certainty.

I couldn't find the tin case at my Best Buy. So i got the script edition.
I love it though. For the following reasons:
1. The cover is the best. That poster was always my favourite of the 2 (or was it 3?) posters that were around when the film was out.
2. There's no French on the cover. There's ugly french on the 2-disc and single disc. And underneath the cover is basically the exact same 2-disc that DOES have french, but the outside cover DOES NOT, which is great, because it's what's on the outside that counts.
3. It's always nice to have the script around, dude.
4. The movie just plain kicks ass anyway.

I figured as much. At first I thought maybe I got Future Shop and BB mixed up, like maybe Future Shop had the tin case..and considered going there, but I was about 99% sure that wasn't the case and it must've been a U.S. only deal.
Oh well, no big loss. I'm happy with my purchase.

The special feature "Scorsese on Scorsese" is worth it alone, It is Martin commenting on his life and all his films, just an awesome special feature for true fans of his...
Otherwise the extras are what you'd think they are, making of featurette, a look into Whitey, who was the real-life Boston gangster that Jack's character was "based" off of..plus the other ho-hum extras...
But the tin-packaging from bestbuy just makes it sexy as all hell.

Here's what I found here in Ottawa Canada. FutureShop had a: 1-discer, 2-disc S.E., and the steel book thing (which seemed to be the 2-disc S.E. just with different packaging). BestBuy had a: 1-discer, 2-disc S.E., and a 2-disc S.E. with script.

I checked FutureShop's and BestBuy Canada's website. FutureShop's says their exclusive, the steel book is 1-Disc. BestBuy Canada's says their exclusive, the one with script included is one disc. But if you click on "see larger view" the box cover clearly states that it has 2 Discs. When I go to both today I'll ask an "associate" at each what is what.
P.S.
Re. the FutureShop exclusive steel book. I looked at the back of it and the 2-Disc S.E. and found them to be very simular. Also, if I'm not mistaken they each had the exact same "Bonus Features". Go figure.

I haven't seen the Best Buy steelbook case, but since Best Buy owns Future Shop, I would assume that they're the same. The steel case is the same case used on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) from Synapse Films, The Boondock Saints and Ong Bak (those come to mind).

I bought the FutureShop Tin Case 2 -DISC! edition on wednesday. I just looked at the second disc and it does for sure have the Scorses on Scorses special feature, as well as some other stuff to boot. This is in Alberta just to clarify. My town doesn't have a best buy so I can't confirm on the exact same features that they would have, but I would have to assume they would be the same. Inside the case is what I think you guys are referring to as postcard art. It's just some postcard size images, one that looks like the normal 2 disk dvd cover, and 3 others of the individual actors. They are all linked together and folded up, but I think that's what you guys were all talking about. So hopefully that clarifies for some people. I suppose I could scan the postcard art if you guys would really like, and I'll probably get around to it sometime anyways.

As far as I can tell (just by looking at the box covers) the FutureShop 2-Disc steel book's discs have exactly the same content as the "2-Disc Special Edition" that both FutureShop and BestBuy are offering here in Canada. Just my 2 cents.
