The full trailer for the Wes Craven produced horror sequel 'The Hills Have Eyes 2' is up now on Yahoo. It looks like it has a bit of a different vibe from the first, i'm kinda getting a 'The Descent' vibe, and there's no familiar names or faces involved, but admittedly i'm ready for it as I loved the 2006 remake.

It looks okay. I liked the first one a lot but this movie has the disadvantage that it's in a genre that is getting kind of tiresome at this point with so many movies of this ilk coming out over the past couple of years.

Still, it looks okay.

In regards to the last picture, don't these mutants have willing sex with each other?! It just seems that the poor normal people the stumble upon them in each of the movies are also subject to the wrath of their sexual drives as well as their violent ones... :)

I'll probably check it out in theatres, mostly to see the Famous Jett Jackson get killed no doubt.

Getting the Aliens vibe, not only in military-w/big guns plot but in the shot of the mutant moving in the background after appearing to be part of the set.

I'm with you. I thought the first movie did a good job of actually adding some versatility to its villains (and how messed up they were), whereas this movie looks like it only has a bunch of gross looking burn victims.

Looks fun. I have a bias toward these kind of films though. I tend to enjoy them, even if they have been done dozens of times before :)

I just hope the military people don't spout off a bunch of shitty stereotypical dialog.

It any of the characters are half way likable and come off as real people like in the first, I will be really suprised. But other than that it looks cooler than I thought.

Others have sort of touched upon this, but the biggest disappointment for me at this point is the cast. I loved the cast in the last one. Aaron Stanford, Ted Levine, Kathleen Quinlan, etc. Some very talented actors who gave very good performances, which made me really care about them and their fate. I also think Aja is a great director and I thought the last one was a pretty solid, nasty horror flick. This one looks much more standard/generic to me, and the cast just screams DTV. I'll go in with very low expectations.

Yeah, I still cant get over how hot the female soliders look. I havent seen female soliders look this hot since Starship Troopers.

For me the more action they attempt to pack into the gilm the more they lose teh aspect of fear, because fear in this type of movie is the fact that the main characters have no idea what is happeneing. Thus throwing more action somehow takes away from that, or at least for me it does

I agree with the first poster. Im getting a major Descent vibe from this. Considering that that was one of my favorite horror films in a long while, that be good.
