As for the movie, it looks alittle too artsy...
But of course I'll see it.
Interesting plot + Ellen Page = Seriously now!

Well I've always dated older chicks, cuz I'm a muthafuckin' stud, so perhaps that's why my perception is so skewed...probably because she's always playing little girls, also. Yeah.

Either way, wanting to bone her makes me feel like a pedophile, which isn't the best of feelings.

Very true. :D The real reason I like her so much is because I used to date a girl who looks exactly like her so that's where the crush comes in.

Am I the only one who finds that really cool?

Bruce McDonald (the director) is coming in to our Editing I class actually in two weeks to take a look at a few of our assemblies as our final project is to put together a few scenes/a sequence from the film. I think this is an interesting idea overall though I dunno if I'd have or will have the time to attempt to put together the entire film.

Also, from what my roommate (who saw the film at TIFF) said, he doesn't think the film would work or be very good without the split-screening techniques that they actually used in the final cut (for the record, he thought it was a solid/good but not amazing film).

But yeah, I still think it's cool that they're doing something like this. The thing is, this film is one of the unique few that would actually be able to do this since the final film is put together in such a different way. I doubt there'll ever be another contest like this just due to the fact that with a film that was edited normally, it would be kind of embarassing if a contest was held and someone did a cut better than the actual editor of the film. For that reason, I think this is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime kind of project.
