Nicolas Cage has decided that he's now eager to do a sequel to "Ghost Rider."
Only a few months ago, Cage reflected on the possibility of a sequel and said, "I feel like I laid it down in this one, and I don't know where else to go with it, so it would really have to be script dependent."

That was before Cage and writer/director Mark Steven Johnson talked privately while on a promotional tour through Europe. Johnson said that he discussed where the character could go in the film franchise. "This is not a slam-dunk character; it's not as well known as the others," Johnson said. "But if people want it, then we will do it."
Cage said that a sequel is more of a possibility. "It depends upon the reaction from the movie-going audiences," he said. "If they are enthusiastic about it and if there is a good script. I would say of all the characters I've played, my interests coincide with where this particular character could go."
Co-star Eva Mendes, meanwhile, said that she isn't sure if she has signed an agreement to be in a sequel yet, but added that she's on board if it happens. Ghost Rider opens nationwide on February 16th.

I got sneak peek passes for Ghost Rider on Thursday night. If done well I wouldn't mind seeing another one.
Ghost Rider is 2nd tier marvel character, which might be its strong point. Everyone knows when you mess up a 1st tier marvel character like Spider-man, X-men, Hulk, Avengers. But 2nd tiers like Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Deadpool, Blade have more room for errors because they are not as well known.

Well it seems like there will be a sequel it the future. I'm cool with that.
The movie wasn't bad to me, they just played it safe and didn't do anything out of the ordinary you would expect. Cage was likable as Blaze and Ghost Rider was spot-on. One of the few characters you don't have change the look or costume for the movie.
Just up the budget for the sequel so we can have longer Ghost Rider fight sequences (the elemental villains sucked and they got their asses faded in 10 seconds each). I like the way way they made his first transformation look very painful, nice touch.

It was average to me. Id be open to another if they decide to give it some balls next time around.
Hell, if they give FANTASTIC FOUR (the worst comic book movie since CATWOMAN) A sequel then i guess they can give this a shot as well.

Yea Mark Steven Johnson should just stop making movies period. He's right up there with Uwe Boll in my book. He's ruined 2 comic book franchises, so why should he get a sequel......oh wait, the movie made 45 million dollars. Fantastic 4 is a masterpiece next to this POS. I seriously don't understand how people can say it was average. It was less than that, seriously. Get over your denial. I will not be seeing the sequel if they make one. I'd rather have a Constantine sequel.

I have not seen this, but the trailer for this movie is better than Fantastic 4 was in feature length. A sequel is likely with the 45 million it made this past weekend.

the movie sucked really bad. I love nick cage but not so much in big blockbusters. hated ghost rider, national treasure, con air, and so on. But loved lord of war and weatherman dearly. I'm sure there will be a sequel though, it looks to be doing very well in the old boxoffice.

movie was ok. enjoyable. i think cage was a terrible choice. some stupid stuff in there was annoyingly unneeded (the pills in the martini glass, the music) other than that, tollerable. ghost rider is a cool story but its pretty dark. the fight were too short. now that the intro stuff is out of the way, make the sequel more gritty. i have a really bad feeling that wolverine will be like ghost rider was.
