i like the band a lot i admit it,saw them live recently thought they were superb,watched em on last nights mtv awards where they played joy divisions shadowplay was again very good,even peter hook enjoyed it and he can be a right miserable cunt.
but i do get your meatloaf refrences yep certain part's of the album are very meatloaf/springstein influenced but i enjoyed it anyways
as for brandon flowers being a cock i find the guy quite humble and sincere whenever i have saw him on any music shows or at awards,i won't buy nme so will never read what he had to say in there.

I red it in the shop, he was talking about the beatles and the stones and saying that he could never be as good as them and also that everyband wanted to be the next u2, not only this but the springsteen album he sighted as influencing him is the soundtrack to philadephia

thats half the problem on here and one of the reasons the board has stagnated a little,everytime there is a contentious or critical thread it turns into personal comments and petty squabbles,we can all be critical about anything we want and disagree in a manner that can be humorous and none threatening or judgemental ,but as was seen on the overated band thread some always take it personal when people do not share the same tastes and likes.

i like the killers other's dont its all about opinions let's be able to give em freely.

I like his kfc dudes tie and his moustache, I was really alittle upset with there joy division cover, I think of joy division as a sacred cow

i thought they did a good job of shadowplay and to be fair so did hooky and he's not bad judge.not quite sure if there is such a thing as a sacred cow in music,could be a new thread is anysong or bands material untouchable to others.
not a big fan of tache's myself so not gonna stick up for that,unless its earl hickey who's tache is his best attribute.

i thought hooky was reluctant to comment? Well I have a huge problem with barney sumner a bit of a problem with hooky, and only really have any fondness for Stephen Morris, I think new order are the worst wake they could have thrown for Curtis.


But the best cover I've heard of Joy division is the Interpol albums, which reminds me of how much I hate the editors, oh and I thought of a band I dislike more than kasabian, them ones that did stars of cctv

hard fi lol they really are a piss poor band although i did quite like better do better, i tried listening to the full album but like a 50oz steak it was imossible to get through to the end.

Yeah, I cant stand the Killers either. They have a few songs that are good but overall are pretty shitty IMO.
