NEW YORK -- Next up for Salma Hayek is a wedding — and a baby carriage.

The 40-year-old actress is engaged to businessman Francois-Henri Pinault and is pregnant with their first child, her spokeswoman, Cari Ross, said Friday in a statement. No further details were provided.

The Mexico-born Hayek has starred in films such as "Frida," "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" and "After the Sunset." She is one of the executive producers of ABC's "Ugly Betty," in which she recently guest starred as a two-faced magazine editor.

Pinault is chairman and chief executive officer of the luxury goods company PPR SA, which owns high-end labels such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Stella McCartney.

Hayek received an Oscar nomination for her role in 2002's "Frida."

I just hope that this pregnancy doesn't do to her what pregnancy did to Catherine Zeta Jones; Zeta Jones was THE hottest chick in hollywood, then she got a bone shot from 1000 year old Michael Douglas and for some reason bounced off the hottness radar (she's still hot, but for some reason after kids and mikey she became something entirely different). AND LET ME CLARIFY! kids don't equal not hot, it may just be who she had the kids with, or something else.

This sums up why my opinion of Katie Holmes sadly ain't the way it used to be in her Dawson's Creek days except replace the age problem (even though he's quite older) with a "TC being a crazy control freak" problem.

Why??? She's my fav girl and even though i love my boyfriend there are two women who could make me swing the other way and those are Monica Bellucci & Salma Hayek.

I'm sorry but I dont see this happening, how could she let that guy screw her? Did her self esteem go down?? Oh...maybe it's because she has put her love of Gucci first. I thought she'd end up with a guy around her age or younger.

On a serious note, I hope she is happy, and that her career is still big after this.
