Does anyone know where I could get an unrated version of Mulholland Drive? Everywhere I look I can only find the R-rated version.

Hrmm, thats the thing, I am almost positive when I rented it when it first came out they had a rated and an unrated version with different covers. I think the rated version had trimmed down the sex scene between Laura Harring and Naomi Watts.

Although I might be mistaken.

the film was slighly censored, i think its mainly image blurring, by Lynch for its DVD release and thats the only version which is available (at least i havent heard of a release without the censoring)

There are two different covers - a Diane cover (http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/d0/a0/90e54310fca0633f83f8a010.L.jpg) and a Rita cover (http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B00005JKJA.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg), but both contain the same R-Rated version of the movie.

And Cronos is right - I've heard the same thing. Just like with the R1 SE of Wild At Heart - the censoring was 100% David Lynch-approved, although that movie is available on DVD in other regions uncensored.

There is a R2 2-Disc (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000KRNMRQ/ref=wl_it_dp/203-0074717-5275164?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1IFBLA7AHWEJ5&colid=3CX38YD1N5HOX) of Mulholland Dr. that was just released a few days ago with more extras than the R1, but it appears to be the same R-Rated version. I'd like to see a loaded R1 release with the TV pilot included.
