Last night I was flipping through channels and this movie suddenly came on, Scarecrows. It's about robbers who crash in a cornfield after they hijack a small plane and there are creepy killer scarecrow demons roaming around that kill them off. I was surprised at how atmospheric this movie was, there were some definite creepy moments throughout the film and alot of jump scenes. The location added alot to the spooky feel, especially this old white house in the middle of the cornfield that the characters go into from time to time. I mean, the movie wasn't perfect(some parts were confusing), but it was entertaining and eerie enough to make me forget the flaws. The scarecrows are pretty cool too. What are others thoughts/opinions on this flick?

I give it a 7/10, I dig creepy B-Movies.

I have always wanted to see this and have never gotten the chance to. It's not even on DVD yet. Sum of a bitch.

Good call! I ferking love this flick! I have the Dragon Entertainment bootleg on DVD. Pictures not too bad, but it's criminal Scarecrows hasn't been given a decent DVD outing.

^Yah I thought it was odd seeing it on tv too seeing how rare the movie is. It was on the Scream channel in Canada.

Yeah, it is pretty good. But there's a small inconguity involving the farmhouse; who were those people in the pictures hanging on the wall/bulletin board?

It just begs the question as to how long these scarecrows have actually been around. And what part, if any, did those people play in creating them?

It's just been given a region 2 release and can be found on PLAY.COM for £9.99

Great low budget horror....Showtime has been playing the hell out of it until recently. Definitely a creepy atmosphere, and the Scarecrows gave me the willies.
