Brandon Lee at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Lee) and IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000488/) .

March 31 will be the fourteenth anniversary of Brandon Lee's death in 1993 while making The Crow. It's almost unbelievable to me that it's been that long.

I first saw Brandon Lee in Showdown in Little Tokyo. There was some hype around it, being that he was the son of Bruce Lee. The movie is absurd, but Lee had a real genuine charisma that was obviously captivating. Then came Rapid Fire, which was essentially a Van Damme/Seagal clone of a movie, only starring Lee instead. Same deal. The movie is so so, but Lee owns the screen whenever he's on. It's clear that he was destined to become a big star.

I knew I wanted to make movies, and Brandon Lee was one of the few actors I could look at and say "I want to make a movie starring that guy."

I was already a fan before he made The Crow. I knew little about the comic it was based on, but I had heard he was making the movie. Then came his shocking death due to an on set accident in which they were filming, of all things, his character's death.

Back in 1993, we didn't have the internet in every home and non stop news coverage the likes of which Anna Nicole got. I had to stay glued to E! for any information, which was little. I clipped out and saved any news paper articles that came out. His fiance was from the Kansas City area, so his death got a little more coverage here than it probably did elsewhere.

The Crow was completed and released a year later and the rest or the world saw what I already knew - Brandon Lee was a movie star. It's sad to think about what could have been with him when you see how good he is in The Crow.

I became obsessed with The Crow and Lee for a couple years after. It's still in my top ten favorite movies.

RIP. Although I haven't seen Brandon in any movies other than the Crow it was plain to see he had a magnetism to him when on screen. The Crow is both a fantastic and unique achievement and although a lot of that had to do with Alex Proyas, the film would not have been succssful without Brandon's talents.

I'm also a fan of Lee's, famous father or not, Brandon Lee was a good actor, and tremendous martial artist. I first saw him in Showdown in little Tokyo, then in Laser Mission, and Rapid Fire (my person fave of his); Then I heard through my local comic shop that they were making the Crow with Brandon Lee, and I was stoked. I bought every magazine that featured stories on it, made sure to see every interview with him - I was determined to follow the Crow more closely than I had any of Lee's other projects for some reason. Then I heard the news about his death...I was saddened for Lee's mother, sister, and fiance.

I bought the Crow the day it came out on VHS - and watched it 60 times that summer.

i love both brandon and his father and would rate the crow in my top ten films, a bold statement i know! rapid fire is a great action flick and lee is sensational in this film and the crow. A tragic loss for every film fan in my humble opinion. i love the crow so much that i have a tattoo of eric draven on my chest and think about the film that inspired me to do film at uni every time a look at it

rip brandon

I myself have also only seen the Crow but i really enjoyed it and still do. We lost a great talent when we lost Brandon Lee but sometimes thats the way things go. One of my fonder memories was when i had this friend who said "man this crow dude looks liek that Sting guy from Wrestling"..... i have him a good punch in the shoulder for that dumbass remark ;)

i saw The Crow when i was 11 (maybe 12) and instantly fell in love with it (it sits happily in my top 10 and i crack out the dvd at least once a year), saw both Showdown In Little Tokyo and Rapid Fire some years later and really wasnt very impressed with either (although Lee was good in them)....but with The Crow it was clear he was going to be huge and his death was a tragic loss

i think i'll watch The Crow again

RIP

Oh god, Laser Mission. Wow, is that thing almost unwatchably bad. But, like the other movies, Lee is infinitely watchable in it. you could just tell he loved acting.

Damn this is making me feel old...and young at the same time to think I was 6 when the Crow first came out.

Nonetheless, one of the all-time classics of our time in movies if you ask me. (and don't forget to praise lee for Showdown in Little Tokyo with Dolph Lundgren...seriously).

Hopefully this will mark the end of shitty DTV sequels for the Crow.

It always creeps me out thinking how both Bruce and Brandon Lee died during the making of the movies that would make them international superstars.

I first saw Brandon Lee in Rapid Fire and thought the movie was pretty freakin' cool; the action/martial arts scenes were awesome. I've only seen Showdown in Little Tokyo once and thought it was alright, albeit nothing special. The Crow, of course, is simply amazing and I still love watching it to this day.

It's simply tragic what happened to him, and his dad.

anybody else remember hearing alot of hearsay that the Lee's both were involved with a yakuza-like gang and were killed dealing with reasons to the like? not saying its true, I just remember hearing alot of people spread that rumor.
