I don't have a problem with product placement as long as it's subtle and not too obvious. No one wants a movie to become a two hour commercial for any product, but they can do it in a creative way and in a way that's not banging you over the head with it.

I hate how that guy was talking down to Lynch by feeling the need to explain what product placement is. Lynch is an awesome guy, though, so he knew the exact words to say.

I love how Fincher did the Baskin & Robbins placement in The Game, it's just so in your face - i'm sure he did it as a joke, knowing how he's anti product.
