ok i was talking with my wife because i noticed a couple dvds on peoples just bought lists like seven and stuff (i wont name names) and we started talking about beginning dvds to start off any collection that should be purchased right away....not movies but thats part of it but DVDs that must be purchased within like the first couple weeks of buying your first dvd....heres mine

fight club se
pulp fictioon ce
the matrix
clerks
armageddon

usual suspects came really close along with royal tenenbaums, sixth sense and something from lord of the rings or star wars
and obviously due to the nature of this your titles 'should' already be in your collection so if they are not you better be getting them quicker than the flash can nail wonder woman

Finding Nemo
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Ultimate Edition)
The Fly (1986) SE
Reservoir Dogs (15th Anniversary Edition)
Pulp Fiction CE

I would put down the original Star Wars trilogy if there weren't reason to be concerned that a new version would come out the next week.

Well, if anyone doesn't have a DVD player yet at this point, I'd really start to wonder. But I'll play along anyway.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (does it really matter which edition?)
Star Wars trilogy
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Indiana Jones trilogy
The Godfather trilogy

The first DVD I ever owned was Casablanca; it was a Christmas present - I got the DVD player the same Christmas, that was back in like 2001; that DVD players crapped out two years ago and I bought another. I remember buying Braveheart, Unforgiven and The Wild Bunch first. I have since bought SEs of the latter two.
