Do you guys know any movies that have been banned from shelves and now you can buy thm? I think Unhinged got banned and so did The Last House on the Left.

Luckily here in the US we have the First Amendment. I have a feeling you are referring to the UK as I know for a fact that the movies you stated (Last house and Unhinged) were and/or are banned in the UK.

Most films that were banded back in the day are no longer, thought they have yet to be discovered and put on DVD. I wonder if there's a movie that's still banded in the states?

It was banned in the Australian state of Queensland until the early-'90s when the Queensland Censorship Board was disbanded.

He he that's hilarious! It's not exactly a tame film but I can't imagine it having a negative impact on anybody, with or without a huge psychological defect!! What next, banning DOLLS because young kids are going around making their dolls attack people?!! Weird shit. :confused:

A couple years back there was a big fuss about Ken Park being banned in Australia. The cops even raided a screening at least once or twice. I personally think it's politically-motivated bullshit. :mad:

It hasn't been officially banned in the USA, though it has yet to find a distributor here. I know this isn't officially "horror," but it's an excellent example of contemporary censorship.
