The title is actually a bit of a lie. I discovered Muse when Black Hole And Revelations came out. I bought it on a whim and after many listens started to like it more and more. Starlight is one of my favorite current songs.
Anyway I decided I wanted to try some of their older albums. I planning on buying them tonight but I listened to a number of the older songs on You Tube and wow I was really impressed. Frankly I cant believe three people make that much noise.
At first I thought I wouldnt like them. I cant get into Radiohead and they're constantly compared to them. Imagine my surprise when I discovered I loved them.
"Time Is Running Out" freakin rocks.
Anyway just wanted to share my Muse love.

I love them, too, and the first I ever heard of them was "New Born" which was used in High Tension. Black Holes and Revelations followed soon after, and I officially became a fan. "Time is Running OUt" is a good song, as well as "Hysteria" -- Absolution is probably my favorite CD of theirs.
They're also great to see live in concert. I went a month ago and they put on a hell of a show.

I saw them open up for radiohead awhile back and I was terribly unimpressed. Never picked up an album of theirs after that, maybe I should give them a second whirl.

Except for the falsetto voice I really don't see the comparisions to Radiohead, but then again I really don't like Radiohead. Way too arty for me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Stockholm Syndrome is where it's at. That song is heavy. I love me some Muse.

I love Muse. I saw them for free a long time ago and they were excellent live. I really wasnt a fan of theirs back then but I have become a bigger Muse fan over the years. I loved their last album the best.

Their new album has really grown on me. Ive played it more than any other CD I have. The three song punch of Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, and Map Of The Problemteque is just awesome.

I officially jumped on the Muse bandwagon last week, after taking my first listen of my first Muse album, Absolution. The album rocks and it has turned me into a Muse fan. I plan to buy the rest of their albums very soon.
"Stockholm Syndrome" is AWESOME.

I dig their heavier stuff a lot like Stockholme Syndrome, Time Is Running Out, and definitely Hysteria... but the softer stuff doesn't do it for me at all.

To put it simply when I heard Newborn during High Tension I was amazed. Their new single Starlight is also pretty cool. I am dl Stockholm Syndrome purely off of therealjohng's post. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Muse is one of my top 5 favorite bands ever! They are amazing. I never understood why people compare them to radiohead. To me, they sound nothing alike. Yea, Black Holes and Revelations is a great cd. I live in southern Florida and I drove 18 hours total by myself to see them in Atlanta. It was worth it. That's how good they are. I actually like a lot of their slow stuff as well. If any of you guys havent heard Blackout, check it out. It's my favorite slower muse song-

Matt Bellamy is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen.

You could switch out Thom Yorke for Matt Belamy and you wouldn't miss a thing.

Ehh, I don't know about that. Personally I prefer Matt's voice anyway. Those high pitch yells are great. I don't think Thom Yorke has the vocal capacity to sing THAT high. I mean, yea he can have a high voice, but Matt's is just off the charts in some songs.

The Muse/Radiohead thing is so overdone.
Muse sounded like Radiohead for like 2 seconds on Showbiz.
On the earlier Radiohead albums Yorke was pretty dramatic and sang all high with his falsetto like Bellamy does, but he's cool it down now.

Radiohead / Muse psh...
I thought we we were done with that comparison like yeaaaars ago!!!
As if !! Muse is MUSE! as well as Radiohead is RADIOHEAD.
Muse's lyrics are the most intense, creative, powerful and eye-popping lyrics I've ever heard.
Bellamy is the most talented musician I've ever seen... I mean the man plays live as good as he plays on their cd's... and plays piano, guitar, synths and sings!!!!
You should get tickets and see for yourself ... !!!!!
or check out my videos...
But in conclusion: MUSE kicks ass.
