I awlays felt special having a rare movie that no one else could watch because it was out of print

I might even double dip on this version, the 1997 version has such crummy audio transfer and no special features

Been waiting patiently for this ever since Image lost the rights to many of the Universal releases they had licensed.
The original Flash Gordon *was* worth money at one point, but not anymore...

they go for over a $100 on ebay maybe I should sell mine before the new one comes out and make some money

Ive been wondering what you would say when you found out about this. It makes me glad I havent dropped the money for that older version yet, but feel your pain man. The same thing happened to my King Kong vs. Godzilla dvd. It dropped from 75 dollars to 15 overnight.

I know the feeling. I've been there. I also feel the same way when I get a movie that I like on the one hand. But is a movie that's not widely available and unheard of by most of the general public (and sometimes, just sometimes, most Schmoes too) on the other hand! :)
