It's been rumoured for years and we've had many false starts but this time it looks very good indeed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed .

They better quick sign up Christopher Lee and Caroline Munro for a film. Before they get too much older.

I still think Lee could pull off playing the Lord of the Undead - even at this age!

Now more than ever. He's got one foot in the grave already.

After re-reading this press release - the only thing I don't like about it is this:

"...The team has plans to target "a new generation of horror lovers" via mobile phones and the internet..."

Sounds like they're going after the same audience Hollywood is appealing to with all of their shoddy remakes of classic horror films. It's been three months now since that news story ran - and the official Hammer website is still under construction. Sure hope this isn't another false alarm to get our hopes up...

It would be nice to see them do movies like they used too. Vampires in castles and foggy graveyards and such. Monsters terrorizing villages would be good to see again.

Definitely! As long as they avoid the Stephen Sommers route taken with 'Van Helsing.' I would LOVE a horror movie done in the classic vein (pun intended) with no CGI - a horror movie that relies on lighting, atmosphere, set design, costumes, and acting... not computers. I would love to see Hammer recruit some of the surviving names of their past (like Christopher Lee and Dave Prowse) but that doesn't seem likely with their statement about appealing to the younger generation.
