View Full Version : Did we do that?

This is old but anyways.

Back when Primeval first hit theaters there was no mention of the "killer" being a giant killer croc. But after we complained about that fact here on the Joblo boards the TV spots for Primeval changed. They then mentioned that the "killer" "wasn't human" and let the viewer know that "he" was actually a giant croc. Was that a change that we caused? Thoughts?

FIRST!!!!! now for a response, i don't think that i've seen the ads stating that it was a croc yet, but if so, maybe the boards did do it

This isn't Ain't It Cool.
And while they haven't explicitly stated it's a crocodile, they've all but said it.

Seems unlikely, but wouldn't it be cool?

An interesting thought but if you're right, there are other movies I'd be much more proud of altering the TV spots for. I never even posted anything on Primeval on the boards, let alone bothered to see the movie.

the confusion was because we had creepy movie voice guy talking about the "world's worst serial killer" and comparing the crocodile to actual people, like Jack the Ripper and what not. the anger came in when all the people that did decide to see this piece of shite realized that it wasn't a serial killer, just a wild animal doing what wild animals do. they basically paid 10 bucks to watch a star laden episode of animal planet.

my little brother and his girlfriend saw it and they along with I think everyone else thought it was giong to be a person but they said it wasnt too bad of a movie...they just felt manipulated a little bit by the poster.

i thought it was great marketing, if you went in it not knowing what to expect you were surprized, and i love a movie that surprizes me, then again i love giant crocodile/alligator movies... so it was a double shot of goodness
