The Ultimate Matrix Collection HD DVD whos getting this?!?!?!?

i am for sure picking this bad boy up tommorow at best buy.

I will be picking up THE ULTIMATE MATRIX COLLECTION HD DVD 5 DISC SET. 35 HOURS OF EXTRAS!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!

coast 90 buck at best buy you pick this up and get ANY 2 FREE HD DVD MOVIES!!! well worth the price!!!

I love the first film a classic!!! 2 i only seen once back when it was in thaters so i don't remember. 3 i never seen heared it was not up to par with the first. never seen the animatrix as well.

Any of you picking this baby up? also what are your thougts of all 3 films without giveing to much detail away for me.

p.s. i fucking love the closing credits for 2 neo putting on his glasses and flys in the air and BOOM!!! P.O.D. sleeping awake song kicks in!!! i love that song and video great way to end the film!!!

If I ever upgrade to HD anytime in the near future, I'll just pick up the box set of the movies without the extras. I already watched all the extras on the standard DVD version, I doubt I'll want to watch them again anytime soon. Of course, that being said, since I may just be picking up a PS3 sometime soon (I just haven't seen a single exclusive that's coming out that's got me tied down for a 360, while I at least am intrigued enough to give MGS4 a try), I'll probably just wait for the Blu-Ray version.

I believe you also have to buy an HD DVD player along with the HD sets.

You're getting you're endings confused. Neo puts on his glasses and flies off at the end of the first Matrix and Rage Against the Machine's "Wake Up" starts playing.
At the end of The Matrix Reloaded, it's Neo laying on the table with that character that I don't care to remember his name and then it cuts to "To Be Continued" and Rage Against the Machine's "Calm Like a Bomb" kicks in. "Sleeping Awake" doesn't start until way later in the credits.
And, yes, I am a Matrix geek.

i too have the Ultimate Matrix Collection on DVD already . however i am a sucker for HD content now . it's taking alot to not pick this up tomorrow . if they release just The Matrix on HD-DVD on it's own then i would for sure purchase that :)

jus picked up a 5 disc UpConverting DVD player and as of tomorrow my PS3 will upscale to 1080p ... so ill stick with the Ultimate Collection i have on DVD

Neither of these new HD-DVD matrix boxsets contain the Animatrix shorts, also all the extra material is in standard definition.

YES!!!! OMG!!! YES!!!! I just watched the first matrix on hddvd and man i seen it so many times but this time the picture was so fucking clean!!!! I was blown away!!! My dad was even amazed.

I hate HDDVD. I honestly can't tell the difference. I mean, I can tell the difference, but regular DVD is more than sharp enough for me. I just don't think there's been significant enough a change, and with the hardware being expensive as it is coupled with the ridiculous hi-def format war going on... it'll be a while before I move to HD, I can tell you that. At LEAST until they merge the two formats or pick just one to sell on the market.
