details from dvdactive.com:

Title: Anniversary Editions
Starring: N/A (Various)
Released: 14th August 2007
SRP: $24.96 Each

Further Details:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced an Anniversary Edition of Labyrinth which stars Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. This two-disc edition will be available to own from the 14th August, and should retail at around $24.96. As well as an all-new transfer, the set features never-before-seen footage recovered from Jim Henson’s home in England, and 60 minutes of exclusive featurettes (including "Paper, Cloth and Creatures", and "Coming of Age") that include interviews with luminaries such as George Lucas and Brian Froud. Topping it all off will be some special lenticular packaging. Unfortunately we can't show you what that looks like yet, but we hope to have a packshot very shortly.

Also arriving on the 14th August will be a 25th Anniversary Edition of Dark Crystal which should keep fans of Jim Henson happy. The two-disc set will again feature an all-new digital transfer, along with footage recovered from Jim Henson's home, and 50 minutes of all-new featurettes (including "Creatures and Creations", "Lifelike Illusion", and "Singular Vision and the Kingdom United"). Again, the discs will arrive housed in special lenticular packaging. Stay tuned for the artwork, and further details as we get them.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a collector's edition of Taxi Driver which stars Robert DeNiro, Jodie Foster, Cybill Shepherd, and Harvey Keitel. This two-disc limited edition will be available to own from the 14th August, and should retail at around $24.96. The disc will include a newly remastered 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include a video introduction by Martin Scorsese, an audio commentary by Writer Paul Schrader, a second commentary by Professor Robert Kolker, a Producing Taxi Driver featurette, a Martin Scorsese on Taxi Driver featurette, a Martin Scorsese Tribute featurette, and a Making Taxi Driver, God’s Lonely Man documentary. We've attached some early package artwork below - although it is still subject to change.

already knew about the Taxi Driver SE but this is the first i've heard of a 2 disc of Labyrinth (have yet to get this) and Dark Crystal (this'll be one of the only times i've ever double dipped)

already have the current release of Taxi Driver and also have Scorsese's criterion commentary so i'm not sure if i'll bother getting the newer release

Even though I love Taxi Driver, my current edition is perfectly fine.
I'm going to hold back on double dipping especially now that the Hi-Def thing is happening.

Though I might get Labyrinth and Dark Crystal...

AWSOME news on the collector's edition of Taxi Driver, and the cover art is kickass as well!! Could care less about the other 2 though.

Goddammit. As soon as I buy the single-disc Collector's Edition of Taxi Driver, they announce this. I knew that was gonna happen.

Might get Labyrinth and Dark Crystal, though I haven't seen either in years.

Ditto on that action. The Schrader commentary is enticing...but the other supplemental stuff just seems superfluous.

Great news. I've been snooping around for Taxi Driver on DVD over the past month and couldn't help but notice that Amazon has removed the current editions from sale. Well here's the explanation. This is on my "to buy" list as of now. I just hope that although it's listed as a limited editon it won't ACTUALLY be limited. Just keep selling the thing, why fuck with our heads with shit like the whole Munich/Jarhead/United 93 thing? It's just irritating.

Not Pan's Labyrinth, this two-disc release is of the 80's movie "Labyrinth" with Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie, with animatronics by the Jim Henson company. Classic movie I sort of grew up with, worth checking out. Not exactly Pan's Labyrinth though.
