What's currently on the market in R1 re. these two movies is cheap and lame!! Ugly packaging, bare bones, and they're dubbed not "subbed"!! Will these two movies ever get the S.E. treatment in R1? :(

I highly doubt it...

Fist of Legend is possibly getting a re-release through Dragon Dynasty (which wouldn't be surprising, many consider it to be Jet Li's best film) but I wouldn't hold out hope for Twin Warriors.

m_burlock, Fist of Legend and Twin Warriors (aka Tai Chi Master) will be re-released in special editions from Dragon Dynasty later this year according to their website. This is excellent seeing as all the movies they have released have been quite impressive dvds.

After I posted this thread yesterday I dropped by my local DVD store of choice and the "Floor Manager" said the same thing. WOO HOO!! :D He also said that The Weinstein Co. had bought up the R1 DVD rights to a king sized oil tanker (As in, not just a boat or shxt load) of top notch Asian movies and Dimension movies too!! :D
P.S.
I asked about whether "Tai Chi Master" and "Fist of Legend" would be dubbed or subbed and I was told we'd have the option of choosing either dubbed or subbed from the language/audio/whatever menu like on many foriegn language movie DVD's! :D

I'm actually kinda tentative about the Weinsteins having their hands on that many Asian releases. They have problems with sometimes making stupid budget cuts. However, I hope one of those that was picked up was Toho's Crying Out for Love, in the Center of the World. I needs me a damn good region 1 release, even if it's bare-bones.
