From what I see they are releasing Death Proof that day. By itself.

THey should give us the choice which to buy. By themselves or together. Kinda pisses me off, amajor error on their part if they drop the ball on this.

KILL BILL 4 DISC SET.................................ABOUT FUCKING TIME...........

Re. Kill Bill (4-Discs), I'll believe it when I see it on store shelves, snatch a copy for myself, and have bought it!

P.S.
Even when I have gotton my oh so happy paws on it I'll none-the-less keep the Kill Bill Vol.1 DVD I already have.

Where's the Grindhouse 2-disc? I can't seem to find it there, I guess maybe they took it down cause it's getting separated?

But holy fuck, I hope that Kill Bill happens. I dig both films but to this day, I think that it would've been a stronger movie put together...that said, I've heard this cut doesn't change a whole lot but I really hope what I've heard is wrong and that he'll be trimming the movie down and doing some re-ordering...I think the movie (as a whole) could lose about twenty to thirty minutes easily and I'd like to see the action spread out more throughout the whole film rather than relegated to the first half. That's fine when they were two separate films but as an overall film, it just seems like too drastic a shift of tone in the middle. Either way though, I'd still probably get it considering I didn't buy the previous editions of either film.

I do wonder how IMDb will get around this predicament (ie: how will people be able to rate this entire cut of the film...will there be another page? will they just leave them separate? Will they combine the pages? etc)

I call bullshit on Kill Bill on the 18th, why would TCM have this before The Digital Bits, DVDActive, DVDTIMESUK, or DAVISDVD who just announced the Death Proof release?

I must be missing something, but I can see NO info on a 4 disc Kill Bill release. It does say - "the fourth film by Quentin Tarantino", but that is it. The only news of note is the single edited Kill Bill - some of Vol 2 could have been removed, but conversely there was a scene with David (if the released scripts are to be believed) that should have been in. Either way, dont think so...

On a second more depressing note - if this is the best that can be done with Grindhouse, I hope this half arsed effort just crashes and burns, cos there is no way I am prepared to part with 1c unless it is available as it was screened in the US cinemas (or better if they want to pimp up the release). This whole saga just defies understanding. This is what happens when twats with no idea have too much say...

Given how much of a $ maker the Kill Bill DVD has been why wouldn't they double dip eventually?

I've asked both MisterChristian and REALDVDARTIST about the Kill Bill 4-Disc and NC-17 rated version. MisterChristian says his contact told him "there is a NC-17 version coming, but not till later in Q4". REALDVDARTIST says his contact was very vague, didn't think it'd happen, and that Buena Vista (who's call it is re. it being released or not) is, since the Weinsteins' leaving Marimax (sp?), not exactly making releasing Marimax stuff a priority (If you know what I mean).

So take the above as you will...

A listing for Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000R7HY0A?tag=thedigitalbit-20&link_code=as3&creativeASIN=B000R7HY0A&creative=373489&camp=211189) just popped up on Amazon. They're listing an 11/6 release date.

Not sure if this makes it official, but it's definitely a brow-raising development.

Give me unrated and as one film, and then a 2nd disc with all the extras. But then again there probably won't be any room for commentaries.

...shit,

I will definitely be picking up the NC-17 Kill Bill and you got me excited about the Grindhouse thing, but then I find out it is just Death Proof:( which I will buy, but I'd like to see Planet Terror and Death Proof all in one with the faux trailers in the middle, just like I did in the theatre.

Figures. I got the two separate movies last Christmas. I'm still going to get the whole shebang though. It would be so worth it.

Thank FUCKING GOD, at last The Whole Bloody Affair; Kill Bill as Tarantino meant for us to see it (although I can't help but remain skeptical; the two films are so incredibly different I actually can't even begin to imagine how it'll all fit together in the end. But I can't WAIT to find out!) This is on my Amazon Wishlist as of... NOW.

The Digital Bits have gone so far as to make mention of Amazon's listing for a NC-17 and 4-Disc Kill Bill 2 b released on Nov.6th/07. They say they regard this development as an unofficial announcement of it's release and being worthy of their "Rumor Mill".
