Anybody gonna pick this one up? I loved Contraband, especially Slash's guitar work (the reason I bought the album), but the whole thing was kind of unpolished, which worked, but I'll be interested to listen now that the band has kind of bonded and gotten more used to each other how the style changes and how much smoother Libertad will be.

You know, for a mainstream pop/rock band, their first album was pretty good. But I'll pass on this.

Just bought the first single off this album "She Builds Quick Machines" and I think I'm going to be very happy with the album.

I liked Contraband, but I'm not really digging the new single....I'll probably end up picking it up though.

If i ever meet Slash I'm going to make him eat my shit, and then I'm going to punch Scott Weiland in the dick for leaving STP. What a fantastic idea that was...

This album was pretty good (7.5/10) but havent made up my mind whether its better than Contraband yet...
I did feel the album started to lack towards to the end though, which is a shame because the first half came off rockin'

I personally think both of them are better off after leaving their respective bands. Slash is proving he doesn't need Axel and his ego around, and after STP's last album, and Army of Anyone proving that Weiland was the brains that made the outfit run (seriously, Richard, stop dicking around and just release that Filter album already) I'm glad he's in VR.
I think Libertad isn't as good as Contraband, but it's still a good, fun album. And at least it was released on schedule.
