What song or cover have you found so bad you ended up laughing at it?

I love how she never actually speaks any human language, she just make random noises. Terrible cover of a terrible song anyway.

The irony of this cover is almost deadly, I wonder if Fred Durst actually understands these lyrics or if he just decides they sound good and vomits them out.

Steven Lindsay - Monkey Gone to Heaven
Ohmygawd. Worst cover of any song in the history of the world ever. Completely sucks all of the frenetic energy out of the song...no, you know what? It just completely sucks. That's it.
Ugh.

off the top of my head....
Korn - Another Brick in the Wall
Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes (actually not terrible until the "bridge")

No Doubt's version of "It's My Life" is a fucking disgrace. Then again, everything they do sucks.
Didn't this end up winning like a bunch of Grammys too? The original didn't get any. Goddamn, what a fucking pitiful excuse for an awards show.

I'm assuming he was serious, which is why it was so funny. You can't tell of it's girl or a guy, and whether they have a disturbing amount of freckles or vitiligo.
I'm not a fan of the Pixies at all and didn't think the song was too bad, but dear lord, that video was atrocious.

I heard Avril Lavine did a cover of "Imagine" on this Save Darfur CD. I am sure it is awful.

It was Jack Johnson. Still, the idea of Lavigne covering ANYTHING by John Lennon makes me queasy.

At least she seemed to be trying to sing it like a lady, not some kind of strange troll monster, as she does with all of her other material.
Still sucks cloaca though.

No Doubt was good before they sold out, but yeah, their cover of that song isn't worth wiping Mark Hollis' ass with.

What about Avril Lavigne totally butchering Metallica's "Fuel"? God that was awful. And the worst part was, James Hetfield actually dug it!

Ditto. Avril may as well have painted a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

Ironic that you should mention that asshole, because his dreadful caterwauling killed what tiny chance Metallica's covers of Turn The Page and Whiskey In The Jar wouldn't suck.

Well, the guy hasn't put out a worthwhile album in over twenty years so maybe his taste in music went down the same drain as his talent.

Most covers usually suck ass save for covers by Johnny Cash and a few others.
Fall Out Boy covering Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division)
My Chemical Romance and The Used covering Under Pressure (Queen and David Bowie)
Celine Dion covering You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC)
All of Six Feet Under's cover songs. They are a horrible death metal band that have released covers of songs by AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and others. In fact they covered all of Back In Black.
Limp Bizkit covering Sanitarium (Metallica)
Metallica covering Loverman (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds)
Joss Stone covering Fell In Love With A Girl (White Stripes)
Sheryl Crow covering Sweet Child Of Mine (Guns N Roses)
Panic At The Disco covering Tonight Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins)
A Perfect Circle covering Imagine (John Lennon)
Limp Bizkit covering Opiate (Tool)
Disturbed covering Land Of Confusion (Genesis)
Fear Factory covering Millenium (Killing Joke)
Generic nu-metal band covering In The Air Tonight (Phil Collins)

You should try the Moonspell version. It doesn't beat the original, but it's still pretty cool.

I take them as Chris Barnes' intended them. As fun covers that are pretty much jokes. They were never even meant to try to match the originals.
Fear Factory covering Millenium (Killing Joke)
I know it doesn't come close to the original, but I do like it a lot. Their other covers are a lot better, though. Namely "Cars" and "I Will Follow".

That would be Nonpoint. And I think it's alright, despite the fact that they use the "intensifying" drum beat every time the chorus comes in.

The whole CD is a joke. The guy feels like a bad boy metalhead and decides to cover "classic devilish metal" anthem like Dio's Holy Diver , Led Zep's Stairway To Heaven or Alice Cooper's No more Mr. nice guy but without actually being metal. Should have bee called " Metal goes Big Band"
more bad cover fun :
Children Of Bodom - Oops I did it again
