Lots of stuff by The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel, it'd take too long to list individual songs.
Miles Davis - So What (the whole album (Kind Of Blue) is relaxing though)
Sunn O))) & Boris - The Sinking Belle
Porcupine Tree - Collapse The Light Into Earth
Everything on "Mezzanine" by Massive Attack
Everything on "Mr. Beast" by Mogwai (particularly Auto Rock and Friend Of The Night)
Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Mugen Glider
Lou Reed - Perfect Day

To actually relax me a song needs to be saccharine without being too loud or rambunctious.

Solsbury Hill, Peter Gabriel is the one that immediately comes to mind.

apperantly alot of bands and musicans have made tracks to relax your bowels, ultra low frequencies will make you shit, bands like sunn use ultra low frequences that are audio prune juice.

There are so many great albums but the one I'll mention that makes me the most relaxed is MBV's Loveless. Minus the first track it's one of the most soothing things ever.

Loveless and Music for Airports always get the job done.

As far as MBV goes, the Tremelo and Glider EPs are also really good in this area.

^^^^^Terrific song^^^^^

Anyway, Broken Social Scene has some very relaxing songs, especially Lover's Spit. Iron and Wine also comes to mind with songs like Sodom, South Georgia and 16, Maybe Less. Overall, Bob Marley pretty much owns this topic, esp. the live version of No Woman No Cry, something I rediscovered recently.

Have you heard 45:33? The instrumental track of that inspires me to slow my jog into a light walk.

For me, Can, "Future Days", and that one Stars of the Lid album I own.
