This isn't about movies or TV or anything like that, but I just wanted to rant and rave about this for a bit.
I was at Borders a while ago and went to use one of the computers to do a search. The employees I saw all were busy helping other people, and I was really just browsing so I didn't want to interrupt any of them. Just as I hit the search button, this employee comes up behind the counter, gives me what appeared to be the stink eye, and said in a real nasty, snippy tone, "Can I help you?"
I was so shocked by his attitude that I hesitated before answering him. This guy came out of nowhere and acted like I was touching the fucking Ark of the Covenant when I was on the computer. There was a sign on the monitor that clearly said "For Customer Use Only", so why was he so uptight with me? There was no apparent reason for him to act that way, especially when I wasn't bothering anybody and not breaking any store rules. Maybe he was having a rough morning or something, but that's still no excuse to cop an attitude with customers. I'm sure we've all worked at jobs we've hated, but I for one never took out my frustrations or bad days on other people.
Now that I read back over this, this does seem like a pretty ridiculous thing to rant about, but little things like that irritate me.
