Oh, so THAT'S what he's been doing lately... (Jeffrey Jones Edition)

A few days ago, as I was volunteering at my local library for my senior project, a completely random thought came up to my mind: Whatever happened to Jeffrey Jones?

Yes, that Jeffrey Jones, best known for playing Ferris Bueller's nemesis, Ed Rooney, but also with many other credits to his name, from Howard the Duck to Beetlejuice to Ed Wood. All in all, an active and recognizable face in movies. He soon disappeared from the public eye after being arrested for possession of child pornography in 2003, or so it seemed to me. I didn't even know he had a few roles in Invader Zim and Deadwood since then.

So a day or so after that random thought came up, this trailer happens to pop up on TV:

Yes, he's acting alongside such luminaries as Andy Milonakis and the fat guy from Outkast to mark his return to film. Now, I know that his last major acting gig was in that comedy masterpiece How High, but I'm still surprised at how low he's slumming in movies nowadays. Plus, that title...

How about you guys? Anybody else as surprised to see him in this as well?

huh, didn't know he did some work in Invader Zim, can't say i'm surprised that he's in shit like Who's Your Caddy though

the first role of his that comes to mind whenever i see him in something or mentioned is as Spike in Stay Tuned, now that's a fun film :D

I saw that garbage How High in theatres (didn't pay) and oddly enough I wasn't even high. Now he's doing Who's Your Caddy? We could sure use less actors like him. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

He pled no contest and was ordered to undergo counseling and register as a sex offender. He has also since then been sued by the kid he asked to pose for the photos when he was 14, who is now an adult by this point, so it's not completely over.

While I used to be a fan of his, given the events that occurred, his recent downfall doesn't surprise me at all, though rumor has it that the reason Matthew Broderick didn't wanna do a Ferris sequel with him was because the proposed title was Ferris Bueller's Pants Off...:D

Since when did Big Boi get fat? Anyway this doesn't surprise me. Jeffrey Jones is a character actor he's bound to pop up in a mediocre movie from time to time. Gotta pay those bills, son.

Is it just me or does Whose your caddy look somewhat good in that cheesy 80's ski school type film vibe that the movie world has been barren of as of late.

All I really meant was fat when standing next to Andre 3000. :) But I kid Big Boi. He's really not that fat at all.
