This isnt based on Oliver Stone's greatest three films, its more of what your favorites are (which ones you can watch over and over again).
My three favorites are:
1. The Doors (Val's performance is UNCANNY)
2. U-Turn (so many outrageous and weird characters, plot twists and J-Lo lookin her finest:cool: )
3. Natural Born Killers

I don't know if I have seen any of his other films but MIDNIGHT EXPRESS is truly one of the greatest I have ever seen. Just a really powerful prison film. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

2. The Doors
3. Platoon
Not saying I don't like any of the other films he's made. Stone's one of my favorite directors, and he hasn't made a movie I thought was "bad". (Yep, I even liked Alexander)

3. Nixon
I love all of his films, though. The only one I didn't care for was U-Turn....I'm actually surprised that JFK didn't make it to anyone's top 3 yet.

Alan Parker directed that film, although Stone did win the Oscar for his script.
As for his films...
1. JFK (9/10)
2. Born on the Fourth of July (9/10)
3. Platoon (8/10)

Thank you. He seems like a very powerful filmmaker. I really need to rewatch Platoon and get around to seeing Natural Born Killers. I'm not a big fan of dramas but the man just seems too gifted to write off. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

3.) Platoon
Nice to see so many mentions of Talk Radio. It's an absolute masterpiece that was virtually unseen even by cinephiles just 5 years ago.

Though Stone is not one of my all-time favourites, he still made the greatest Vietnam film ever, no contest. FMJ and Apocalypse etc are also magnificent, almost perfect films, but as 'Nam films, they don't stand out so well.
