My favorite director!:D

I was torn between Se7en and Fight Club but I went with Fight Club cause I have never seen anything like it in cinema. I felt that Fincher did a great job of translating the book into film. Se7en is my favorite thriller ever and probably my second favorite film ever...just behind Fight Club.

I haven't seen Zodiac yet, but all the others are great as well...

EDIT: I should say directed greatly...I personally don't consider them all "great" films.

I don't understand why so many people like 'Zodiac' so much. It does seem like a film Fincher was born to direct, but it was so mainstream and by the numbers. Also about 45 minutes to an hour could have been cut. There were so many facts and details about the Zodiac killer I felt like I had to jot down notes. After the first act the film it becomes very boring.

"Zodiac" is above and beyond anything else he has ever made. And I love all of his prior work, save for "The Game", which I have yet to see.

There hasn't been a David Fincher film I haven't liked so far. On a personal preference level, I would say Alien 3 is my favourite of his, mostly because I am such a huge fan of the Alien series, but considering my bias there, and considering that he DISOWNED that movie and in many ways it is an entity on its own, I would say Fincher's best movie is Zodiac. I saw it last week, and was blown away. I seriously cannot wait for the director's cut to come out. Many people have complained that it's too long of a movie, but IMO, I wish that it were longer. So yeah, as far as personal affection goes, I prefer the flawed but misunderstood Alien 3, but as far as a flawless masterpiece of modern cinema goes, I prefer Zodiac. :D

David Fincher's next film is "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and it stars Brad Pitt...
