Warcraft the movie?

First time poster, but i been reading this forum for a LONG time... just wondering if anyone has heard anything new since blizzard announced it...

Hmmm... I wonder if South Park will do a new funny ass parody of the movie like they did for the actual game. This is the first I have heard of a feature film being made. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I remember hearing about Spielberg Executive Producing this, but that was just a rumor. I play WoW all the time and I want this to be made.

I thought Pater Jackson's name was atached to it? Just a rumor I heard.
My cousin and I wanted to adapt WARCRAFT on the big screen.
Me as Production artist and him as the director, we're still looking for a proper budget to do it.:D

I'm just wonder where in the mythology it would take place? theres tons of back story to Warcraft which is what makes it one of the best game series ever. Personally i wouldn't mind the events of Warcraft 3 being made into a movie. The rise of hte forsaken and Arthas and the Lich King and such. If not that perhaps the banashing of Illidan?

What do you guys think?

O yes, there is def alot of back story that they could use. My guess..... they love palis so much it will be about a young pali finding his way in the world :/

Nooooooo ! They better not make it like some cheap unrelated-to-the-story stupid kid's coming-of-age story ( Dungeons & Dragons anyone ? )

They shoud just stick to the original lore. I'm thinking more of the crusade of Prince Arthas and Jaina Proudmoore against the invasion of The Scourge. This could lay a good foundation for sequels like the rebirth of Archimonde or the battle of Mount Hyjal.

Either they make it live like LOTR or they stick with CG like Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children. No half-ass live action with Eric Roberts as Medivh and a rubber Magtheridon plz.

PS. I didn't renew my account 2 weeks ago and i'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms atm :D

Dungeons & Dragons I enjoyed, I think its because of my love for horrid b rate movies.

The prince Arthas story line is amazing, his quest to destroy the plague and him becoming the lich king is awesome, would make a great movie.

I am in total agreeance, either go all live action big budget or all CG like their cut scenes. All of their cutscenes have been high quality and just stunning to watch.
