I have to say altough I am not a big Harry Potter fan I have enjoyed the movies. I had high hopes for "The Order of the Phoniex" after seeing the last movie. I hate to say it but my hopes were dashed. I thought Goblet of fire was entertaining for a guy who has not read the book. It was fun, exciting and even a little dark.
So here was the perfect chance for this series to get amazing. What I wanted to see was a crap load of Voldermort, ok even a little would have been nice. I wanted to see some crazy fights between good and evil or at very least some amazing strategy between the groups to prepare for a major fight in the next movie. Instead I got a very boring movie where nothing climactic every took place.
I felt like this movie was simply an excuse to make more money, or an "oops, I promised I would write seven books even though I am out of storyline."
Ultimatley this was a regression in movie making for the Harry Potter series, everything you want to see is not there, actually I dont know that very much of anything was there.
I am interested to see where this franchise goes from here, dollar wise. The movies feel old and boring and now that the books are coming to an end I wonder if the movies are going to take a dive.
