Doug - The Hills Have Eyes remake - starts out a wuss, becomes seriously tough after surviving the horrors up in them thar hills.

James J. Braddock - Cinderella Man: I know it's a bio-pic drama and not a big action but . . . There's tough and then there's strong. The historical Braddock was both and I think Russell Crowe did a damned good job showing that on screen, even if Braddock's story many have been a bit "Hollywoodized." . . . Speaking of which . . .

Maximus Decimus Meridias - Gladiator - tough, strong, honorable.
