Hey guys. Im new here but this site is fucking awesome I loved looking at all the polls and threads and shit. Ill give you a little movie history about myself (like you fucking care)

I grew up watching Star Wars, Superman, Batman, The Goonies, The Sandlot, Die Hard and shit like that ( I actually never saw Raiders or Back to the Future before college which I am in now haha which probably qualifies as FUCKING RIDICULOUS)

Anyways what has brought me back into movies bigtime (as it always was a passion of mine but I kind of fell out of it a little while) but I watched for the first time the Lord of the Rings trilogy in the past 2 weeks. I grew up a Star Wars fan (as they were my favorite films for I dont know 15 years) but I can safely say Lord of the Rings are the greatest films I have ever seen. I cant believe how blown away and STIL blown away I am by them. It tooks a couple days of thinking about it but I came to the conclusion that the way I was currently feeling I have never felt before including Star Wars. I know you dont care but I just cant believe I have a new favorite film haha. Its kind of a big deal to me and I thought maybe you guys would like to hear about. (or maybe after the 6 miller lites I have had in the last 2 hours maybe then I thought maybe you wanted to hear about it haha lol)

Anyways where I was going was I wanted to know what it was like when YOU first saw your favorite film and if it was a big deal like it was now for me. Some people have a favorite film all their lives and it never changes and I actually thought that would be me but as you can see I was wrong.

Tell me your favorite film stories and about the moments when you went OH SHIT THIS IS MY FUCKING FAVORITE MOVIE!

Well I saw THE DREAM WARRIORS, what I might consider my favorite film, back when I was five. I'm 24 now by the way. What was I thinking? Probably something like "This FREDDY guy is BADASS!" That movie is probably the most near and dear to me. By the way, good to have you aboard bro! Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Growing up Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of my favorite films. Watching Lawrence of Arabia for the second time brought back the same memories as I did when I first starting loving movies.

While I instantly recognized Pulp Fiction as a good movie the first time I saw it, it kind of grew on me before it became my favorite. The film does seem kind of pointless when you first see it, not understanding what the hell it's about.

Among other movies, primarily Taxi Driver and A Clockwork Orange (which were both instant favorites), it's been in that spot for about a year since I saw it. But I was a big Star Wars geek before then and all six could have easily made up my top 6 movies. Fortunately, I've realized the prequels as the trash they truly are.

T2 was the first movie that I fell in love with when I was kid. This movie made me become a Arnie mark for many years.
