REVENGE OF THE SITH OR RETURN OF THE JEDI?

Which third entry into a Star Wars trilogy is your favorite? I also thought this poll would be cool because on most people's Star Wars list these two movies seem to consistnatly battle for 3rd and 4th. Im not saying all peoples lists but it seems as though with most fans this is the case.


I pick Jedi simply because the PIXAR CGI feeling of the new ones doesnt make them as memorable for me. After I saw Sith for the first time I was actually debating if this blew me away more then ANY star wars film. There may have even been a point in time where I liked it most (for however short a period a time that was). But now after letting them all sit with me for a qhile, I clearly like Jedi more as it is so much more memorable.

One thing I have to give Sith though (and I cant say this about many films) but the last hour of that fucking movie I had my jaw dropped the whole time. It was SO well done. It basically sets up the mythology that I knew and loved as a kid.

Anyways your opinions? What do you like more and WHY? (I felt like a college professor when I said that "WHY" part. lol I HATE that. )

Return of the Jedi. Better acting. Better writing. Less fake CGI. However, Revenge of the Sith was clearly the best of the prequels.

There's no contest whatsoever, in my opinion. Sure there are silly Ewoks and many other kind of childish shenanigans going on, but the final showdown between Vader and Luke? That's fucking Shakespeare, people.

And I'm sorry, but I'm so unbelievably unimpressed by Lucas' 90% CGI prequel environments, and whle I must admit that Revenge of the Sith has the least fake-looking CGI environments of the prequel trilogy, I still prefer my Star Wars to be live-action, thank you.

Its very close, but JEDI earns it for having perhaps my favorite scene in movie history.

I dont know why, but the part where Vader is looking at Luke and Palpatine, and decides to cast Palpatine into hell to save his son, at the cost of his own life, always gets me. Dramatic and powerful.





Both are great movies however. Its a pity the beginning of ROTS had to be so stupid. It felt like everything in part 2 (..w.tf was Dooku in these movies for!?!?)just got swept under the rug as fast as possible.:mad:

Seems like either the ewoks ruin jedi for everyone or the CGI ruins Sith for everyone. I personally think the pixar CG look to Sith is much worse. I think the ewoks themselves are adorable but the way their race was used was god awful. THEY CANT KILL STORM TROOPERS WITH ROCKS.But then again Star Wars isnt supposed to be realistic I guess. I mean the name of the dictators home is the DEATH STAR! haha realistic.lol

I liked the Ewoks and the CGI. But I think the story and the fall of Anakin is bigger than anything that happens in Jedi.

Jedi! I remember a world without prequels, and it was good. The script and crap acting kill everything about Revenge of the Sith. I'd take a forest full Ewoks over Hayden Christensen acting any day.
