So, today I was going to the movies and as usual, they were handing out screening tix.

One was for the new Bourne film. I looked at the page and couldn't attend on that day, but my friend will see it. I was reading through the handout and it says 18-47.

18?

That means it'll be R (based on my experiences with these films).
I think that's a risky move, but it could pay off for the series, if in fact it does have an R rating.

You're right, that does suck. :(

Why the hell did they make it 18+, getting my hopes up and everything.
Guess it's a demographic thing or something.

They may make people sign some sort of contract preventing them from posting spoilers. That's harder to pull off with minors.

I understood it would be a 15, I can't wait to see it.

The other Bourne movies were PG-13. Why would you expect this one to be any different?

As did I. The films are just so fuckin' hardcore, you don't really realize that you haven't seen one tit and nobody has dropped the F bomb once. And that, my friends, is great filmmaking haha

Well, the trailer looked more violent for one. Two, this wouldn't be the first time a PG-13 (or PG) film upped its rating by one notch toward the end of a series. Most of all, like I said before, it's the 18+ that threw me off.

But Fisting Ackbar has an excellent point, most likely it's the contract stuff.

I also didn't realize they were PG-13. I only saw the first one back when it was released in theatres but I could have sworn it was R. Seemed like it had more mature content any way. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

the reason they had 18-47 on the advanced screening tickets is because that is the Target Demographic for this film. Even though it is going to be PG13, the Demographic of people that are going to see this flick are 18-47 years old!

And yes, all the Bourne flicks have been PG13

Since the others were PG-13 and kicked all kinds of ass, then the third's PG-13 rating doesn't bother me. It's only if the knock it down a rating (*cough* Die Hard *cough*) is when it pisses me off.
