The movie I've been waiting for, seriously.
This looks like the first fun horror film in a really long time, and very appropriately themed, because I mean, WTF?
Only one good series (arguably film) to use Halloween as a horror setting?
That's messed up.

It looks okay.
I bet you that Dylan Baker's character is the killer. They certainly made him seem a bit deranged there. Anyway, Baker is a very underrated actor so I'm sure the movie will be worth watching for him. Looks like it could be a good role for him.

That's pretty much assumed off the bat. Check out the synopsis on IMDB. It lists a story about a principal that moonlights as a serial killer, which looks to be him.

Looks awesome. Fun, creepy, and really seems to be using the setting brilliantly. I love Halloween movies.
Apparently the film is divided into 4 separate stories, and somehow they intertwine at the end.

Could it be? A horror film that fresh, original, and creepy. Surely Hell must be freezing over.

I believe Hatchet and 30 Days of Night will also be opening in October but I think they will be a couple of weeks apart. Still, I can't help but feel that out of all these films Saw will undoubtedly rake in the most cash. I said this as soon as I heard that Saw 3 was being made. Saw will be the new FRIDAY the 13th. A new horror franchise with a yearly installment. And much like people went in droves to see FRIDAY the 13th Part 4 before losing interest I think the same will happen with the Saw franchise. This will be their last big hit before the audience starts to turn away. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I'd say that would be a fair estimate.

I don't think this film is coming out this year.
I read about the film somewhere not too long ago, and it listed the release date as TBA 2008.
IMDB lists it as that as well.

..Im not. Your standards are high(..a good thing) and this looks like qaulity product.
Horror has been "okay" this year, with Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later, and 1408 being the only really good ones so far. (..that being said, i really enjoyed the hell out of all three!)

Sunshine is horror? It looks like a sci-fi adventure/drama to me.

I agree that it's been a weak year for horror. I didn't see 28 Weeks Later or Sunshine and thought 1408 was OK but not scary. I could care less about Halloween and Saw 87. It was refreshing to watch a trailer for a horror flick and think, yeah, OK, that is something I want to see on opening night. It doesn't look groundbreaking or anything, but the mood looks perfect and the stories interesting enough to get the job done. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've been high on this one for awhile , and i've been looking forward to it for quite some time , ever since i read an article about it on Bd . I think they definitely have captured that terrific 80s anthology feel and created a great little cinematic horror themed world .
This should be something special , a true must see horror movie going experience , i get a Creepshow , Two Evil Eyes , and Tales from the Darkside feel with this movie , i'm almost positive it will do great biz and satisfy the almost forgotten horror fans . If it wasn't for the terrific 28 weeks , this year would have blown for the genre , but Trick looks to offer another great experience . I love the setting , the visuals , the structure , and the theme , and oh man , they are actually releasing it at the appropriate time , will only add to it's effectiveness .
