I'll make a Top 15, in order.

1. THE MIST
2. The Assasination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford
3. There Will Be Blood
4. Sweeney Todd
5. Be Kind Rewind
-- THOSE 5 ARE THE FILMS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FOREVER
6. No Country for Old Men
7. Eastern Promises
8. Charlie Wilson's War
9. Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
10. 3:10 to Yuma

15. I Am Legend
16. Lust, Caution
17. The Savages
18. Sleuth
19. Leatherheads
20. Enchanted

OTHER THOUGHTS:

- The Darjeeling Limited looks like every other Wes Anderson film to me, which certanily isn't a good sign. :p
Can't he do a normal film? Even Kubrick had his own style that he brought to most of his films, but at least his films were inventive each and every single time.

- I thought the Kingdom would be on the list, but after the latest trailer, sadly it is not. I'll still watch it though. Same with AG.

- Even though I like Elizabeth, I have no immense interest in another Elizabeth film. one was enough.

- After Match Point AND Scoop, I'm really not looking forward to Cassandra's Dream.

- Beowulf? Eh, maybe. I think Rob Z.'s lost it though.

- I left out more than a few films I'll end up seeing.

- The trailer for ACROSS THE UNIVERSE makes me want to leave the the theater. What agony!

Haha, sorry, it's # 1 for you. DIdn't mean to be offensive if it came off that way.

And I don't know if a trailer has been released online, but I saw it with SUNSHINE yesterday. :)

I wasn't even interested enough to check online lol.

High five on your # 2 though. Do you think Tom Newman's going to score it? I'm so eager to find out who will, and most certainly, to see the trailer.

Can somene also please tell me what's so interesting about ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. It just looks terrible to me...

Didn't come off that way, I have yet to see the trailer, but early script reviews seemed to come off as if Anderson made a more serious character driven film with just a little bit of humor, but if it's the same ol', same ol' I'll be very disappointed.

Darabont opted for a largely licensed soundtrack for The Majestic, but this time given their good working relationship and the nature of the film, I expect Newman to be back for the next truly great Stephen King adaptation.

I'm still waiting for my dream movie, Darabont directing Fahrenheit 451 with Newman doing the score, but Darabont says that until he writes the perfect script, he won't make it as to not disappoint fans.

Hmm, it didn't look like a serious character driven film AT ALL.
Just eccentric brothers quarreling on a train ride.

"The train is lost."
"How can it be lost? It's on rails".

Oh, so Darabont and Tom didn't have a falling out?
Thank god. What exactly do you mean by largely licensed soundtrack though? I just don't understand the term.

Yeah, a Bradbury-Darabont film with Newman scoring is certainly my dream film as well. F451 is one of my 10 favorite books ever.

I hope he makes that perfect script sooner than later, you know what I'm saying? :p

My hope for THE MIST is that it will be the second best Stephen King film, yes, better than the Green Mile and the Shining. :)
Though I doubt it (judging by the caliber of the actors involved :/ ).

There are a bunch of Ellen Page movies that would be on the list...but they don't have confirmed release dates (not even Tracey Fragments, but I feel that has the best chance of being released) so...I didn't add them.

Charlie Wilson's War
Rendition
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
American Gangster
Elizabeth: The Golden Age
3:10 To Yuma
The Darjeeling Limited
Margot at the Wedding
I'm Not There
My Blueberry Nights
Be Kind, Rewind
The Golden Compass
Sweeney Todd

And one that after briefly skimming over the thread I couldn't find anywhere: The Brave One. Looks very interesting, Jordan is a good director and, of course, Jodie Foster is always great and irresistably watchable.

The Darjeeling Limited (looks good, just looks too much like a Wes Anderson movie)

Beowulf (looks a bit like a videogame, and I'm still not sure about what they did with Grendel's mother (aka giving her a substantial part and making her look like Angelina Jolie)

Rendition (not sure why, just doesn't feel quite right...maybe Witherspoon screeching in the trailer)

First, there's the flms of directors I follow and therefore must see...

"No Country for Old Men" (Joel & Ethan Coen)
"There Will Be Blood" (Paul Thomas Anderson)
"The Darjeeling Limited" (Wes Anderson)
"Margot at the Wedding" (Noah Baumbach)
"Sweeney Todd" (Tim Burton)
"Eastern Promises" (David Cronenberg)
"The Kite Runner" (Marc Forster)
"Be Kind Rewind" (Michel Gondry)
"American Gangster" (Ridley Scott)
"Leatherheads" (George Clooney)

...then there's the rest (some of which I could see or not):
"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"
"Charlie Wilson's War" (Mike Nichols has been rather hit-and-miss these past several years)
"Feast of Love" (ditto Robert Benton)
"Juno"
"The Savages"
"Youth Without Youth" (it'll be interesting to see Francis Ford Coppola get back to what he intended to do in the first place...and to see his first film in a decade)
""Reservation Road"
"Grace Is Gone"
"I'm Not There"
"Cassandra's Dream" (apparently it should be more "Match Point" than "Scoop")

There may be others, as the trailers start rolling in.
