Boxing for me. Somebody Up There Likes Me is my favorite boxing film but Rocky and Cinderella Man both kick ass. I watched Raging Bull and was not crazy about it at all.

I would say Boxing for Raging Bull and Rocky alone. Not to mention Cinderella Man, Ali and Million Dollar Baby.
But baseball is a sport that has some great movies. Like Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Eight Men Out, The Natural and the wonderful Billy Crystal fim 61* about the Maris / Mantle home run chase in 1961 for Babe Ruth's single season home run record.

While baseball may have the biggest quantity of great movies (Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, etc.), I ultimately went with boxing because of Raging Bull alone.

I agree. I think the superior raw emotion, grace, and intensity has a lot to do with why boxing translates so beautifully onto film.
