that poster is the coolest monster still for a movie since the JAWS one sheet. I hope the film can live up to it.

I guess this is supposed to be the next big action extraveganza. To me it's just more bad CGI. Kinda seems like a cross between Jurassic Park and Godzilla actually. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

the director has been called Asia's answer to Uwe Boll.

I'm so out. I rather buy The Host.

i definetly agree and love it as well.

but imdb states the budget at around $70 (they aren't the most truthful site at times,true,but i believe that budget).

I'll be honest and say its got no chance in my books of making that.

Dragon Wars looks like those Sci Fi original movies with lame cgi effects. At least The Host is a better monster movie.

i liked reign of fire too. some good casting. but i was lead to believe that it was gonna be more humans (big military) vs dragons. i think this movie has some potential to be fun with good action scenes.

i'd actually forgotten about that one, i also forgot about D&D 2 which i also really enjoyed. i like Dragonheart a lot (love the soundtrack) but at the same time it doesn't really fit my idea of a truly great dragon film, part of the reason being that it's too kiddie friendly for the most part. the CG also sucks

have yet to see the entirety of Dragonslayer, whenever it's on tv i only seem to catch the last 10-20 minutes

General Horror :: Dragon Wars 2 in 2009 ::

KBS Global, a Korean news outlet, reported today that D-Wars (review) director Shim Hyung-rae announced during a news conference that he’s been approached to direct a sequel to the Korean blockbuster.

Its release is planned for 2009, definitely early considering how long it took D-Wars to finally be released in its home country, let alone here in the States (under the far more obvious title Dragon Wars). Though the film has slipped down the box office since its release on the 14th, it’s still being considered a success both here and abroad.

European release plans are being worked out now, Shim continued, but nothing is solid as of yet. The point is we’ll be getting more building-levelling dragons soon, and that’s all I need to keep me happy!

I wasn't expecting much from this and was still left disappointed, it's not even fun in how bad it is, the CGI wasn't that bad most of the time really. The acting and characters were the main problem, they were terrible.

As for a sequel, that gets a bit meh from me.
