I'm so glad I took the time to re-read the story recently...the mart never looked so isolated, so alone, so...under attack. Plus, it manages to really convey the film without giving aways what's actually IN the mist itself.

Actually Darabont has said that the ending to The Mist is more disturbing then the book.

I do hope they have a little more to it. The ending of the book was bone chilling and all, but felt like it ended too soon. After reading it I immediately wanted The Mist part 2.
